Ian,
would it be inappropriate to offer some home repair services as part of my service? I am a seasonal painter and builder. could I use my experience as a niche to acquire sits, and would my house sitting bond be suitable for minor repairs?
Thanks,
Dale

Ian - I'm sure most people would love that service you offer. I'm here in Tuscany and see that many people need ALOT of work doing to their second homes, yet can't afford the repairs.

For instance, my friend up the road in the village I live has needed quite a bit of work doing to his terraced garden. He hires 2 locals (not the best of work I have to say) and my boyfriend has helped him on occasions. However, its costing him a lot and stressing him out. He is a pensioner. He is not alone regarding this.

I would certainly offer your services for free in return for house-sitting services.

Hope this answer helps.

All the best,
Susan

Hi Dale, yes that would be an advantage. I am sure some homeowners could use you. There is no bonding with housesitting. you would have to work out insurance cover arrangements Ian www.housecarers.com
